And The Winner is...

Saturday 23rd April 2005 marked Ravenscriag’s end of year fundraiser and Player Awards Ceremony. A standing-room-only crowd saw midfielder Gary Douglas take the Player of the Year Award whilst defender Craig Fox was confirmed as the team’s Raven of The Year. Fellow defender Paul McDade scooped the award for Goal of the Year and the award for top goal scorer was shared between striking partners Gary McAdams and Paul O’Neill. Fan of the Year went to Mary Benham and thanks to our other supporters including Joe McDade and Terry Fox. The team would like to pay special thanks to Chris, Kelly Anne and Charlene for organising the fundraiser and thanks also to Grace Quigley and Hamilton Information Project for Youth for the free disco hire (and thanks to Liam and Benji for helping set up and to Willy for his help with the Dj’ing) Thanks also to Paul O’Neill for sourcing the excellent awards trophies from Belt Up of Uddingston. Finally the team would like to thank all those who donated prizes and to everyone who has supported the team over the past year including the Wishaw Press and Kevin Healy of the team’s sponsor Westwood Independent Financial Advisors.
